Overview Information

Please provide the requested detail on your custom RFX needs.
This information will be used to build your custom RFX, and will be available for edit and approval at any time.

Please provide a brief description of your organization

Copacity, Inc., a renewable energy procurement platform, has always recognized the value of utilizing renewable energy as a means to reduce utility and operating costs for affordable housing developers, owners, and managers.  In 2017, Copacity formed one of the nations’ largest renewable energy consortiums of affordable housing providers, encompassing over 10 organizations, 17MM kWh of annual electricity and over 100 utility accounts.  Through our specialized and comprehensive renewable energy procurement platform, the participants of this consortium entered into separate remote net metering contracts, which now deliver over $1.0MM in annual net energy savings, which will equate to over $26MM in lifetime contract savings.

Following up on the success of the consortiums remote net metering procurement, the consortium is now seeking a range of onsite renewable energy solutions which cover the land/properties within their portfolio.  On behalf of this consortium, Copacity is now issuing this Request For Proposals (“RFP”) seeking the design and installation of rooftop solar PV; ground-mount solar PV, Solar PV carport/parking lot, and electric vehicle charging stations, which will maximize the use of each of the sites identified in this RFP in order to reduce energy costs and/or maximize revenue opportunities.

This RFP seeks proposals from one or more qualified Developer(s) who can successfully design, plan, permit, develop, install, finance and operate a portfolio of residential, small commercial, parking lot and/or battery storage projects across a portfolio of 426 mostly residential sites.

  • Maximize the proposed system sizes and kWh production.
  • Structure the proposal in a manner that maximizes the economic opportunities and savings for the portfolio of Clients sites.
Please provide any specific language that Client requires, or otherwise would like incorporated into the RFX. Alternatively, please upload a template RFP that your organization uses, the includes language that must be incorporated in any RFP issued by your organization.

Encouragement of ALL potential Respondents

It is understood that this RFP encompasses a large number of sites, installation, and contract options.  The goal of this RFP is to be as flexible as possible to secure the most offerings that meet all Respondents availability.  Respondents are not required to submit bid(s) for every site.  It is encouraged to respond to the sites that best fit your firms’ offerings and business model.

Proposals that do not encompass every site, or every type of project are encouraged.  Smaller firms, or firms with specific business focus, etc. are encouraged to apply.  It is likely that multiple awards will be made as a result of this RFP.

Example 1:  A Respondent who only wants to propose a subset of residential-scale rooftop systems is encouraged to apply.

Example 2:  A Respondent who only wants to propose solar carport/parking lot systems is encouraged to apply.
